"Vinprom" PLC, Veliko Turnovo was established in 1947 as a branch of the National Alcohol Monopoly. For the period 1959-1974 the company has been run by Vinprom State Economic Enterprise, Lyaskovets. In 1974 a production unit for sweet alcoholic beverages was open in the territory of Veliko Turnovo, Dalga Laka industrial zone. In 1987 a production unit for vinegar was put into operation on the site of the company. At the end of the year of 1991 Vinprom Veliko Turnovo acquired legal and financial independence and it was transformed into a Limited liability company. The company became a joint-stock company (PLC) following the decision of 26.06.1997. At present it operates as a private company whose main shareholder is 'Severcoop Gamza Holding' PLC, Sofia.

Vinprom PLC has the following subject of activity: purchase of grapes and fruit for industrial processing; production of highly alcoholic beverages, vinegar and other products of the wine industry, bottling, transport, trade in the country and abroad.

The company is specialised in the production of highly alcoholic beverages, liqueurs and natural wine and apple vinegar.

The production site of Vinprom is situated in the town of Veliko Turnovo, Dalga Laka industrial zone. It is on the territory of the industrial zone, which is 2 km away from the centre of the town and some 300 m away from the Veliko Turnovo railway station.The location is suitable for developing effective business activities, easy contacts and communication links with the other parts of the country. The production site of Vinprom PLC has an area of 38 decares. The company operates two bottling lines having an output of 6000 bottles per hour. The production capacity is 2 000 tons of vinegar 9% and 4 000 tons of highly alcoholic beverages per year. In Vinprom PLC there is a system for mechanized pallet maintenance of the bottled production as well as an efficient marketing of bulk product. The company has one central factory laboratory and other laboratories in its production units where analyses of the production are made.

Due to its perfect work and the high-quality products it offers, Vinprom PLC has earned the position of a leading vinegar producer on the Bulgarian market.

Alongside with the traditional products new product lines are being developed. There are new highly alcoholic beverages put into production, such as Vodka "Shock"- special and classic, and six types of liqueurs.

The layout design of the highly alcoholic beverages and vinegar that are produced is being renewed.

In order to protect consumers' interests the company offers its bottled production with labels registered with the Patent Office as trademarks, which guarantees its authentic origin and high quality.

Vodka "SHOCK" - CLASIC 0.7L, Alc. 37,5%

Up-to-date vodka, made from high-quality spirit, softened water, honey, vitamin "C"
and succinic acid by special technology, which combines classic methods of processing with additional purification of spirit and water with non-fat milk. The succinic acid is necessary for the
proper metabolism in human organism and it is a strong biostimulator. Together with the added ascorbic acid /vitamin C/, they reduce the negative impact of alcohol on the human organism and the addition of natural honey imparts softness and unique taste to the product.
